LynchNW Finishes FAQ

LynchNW offers several in house finishes for our deep carry titanium clips. This is a brief guide to those finishes.

Deep Carry Titanium Clip Finishes
All New ā€œBlacksmithā€ Finish

BlackSmith is a finish we do in-house that involves blasting the clip, then superheating it, then quenching it. The result is a black finish that looks very similar to DLC. We've gotten good feedback from users about itā€™s durability.

Anodized Finishes

Important Note: Please keep in mind that we do not guarantee that these finishes will perfectly match up with your knifeā€™s hardware, scales, or blade. There are many variations of anodization out there. As an example, what Benchmade identifies as blue may not match our blue.

Maintenance: Anodized finishes may scratch and mark up easily.  Please note that the natural characteristics of anodized titanium make it  susceptible to oxidation (or ā€œpatina-ingā€) through contact with oils in your fingers and hands. The finish can be cleaned, buffed, and brightened up by using some Windex and a clean cotton towel.
  • Bronze Anodized
  • Gold Anodized
  • Ice Blue Anodized
  • Blue Anodized
  • Blurple Fade Anodized (a blue to purple fade color offered for Spyderco clips)
  • Purple Anodized
  • Pink Anodized
  • Fade Anodized (Bronze to Blue Fade from clip hole to the tip of the clip. Because each part is anodized one at a time, they may not match the picture exactly and will vary from clip to clip.)
  • Electric Green Anodized

Standard In House Finishes
Important Note: Please keep in mind that we do not guarantee that these finishes will match up with your knifeā€™s hardware, scales, or blade. We try our best to match popular and common finishes found on compatible knife models.

Maintenance: Some In House finishes may scratch and mark up easier than others, and will also dull, tarnish or ā€œpatinaā€ through contact with skin oils, etc. The finish can be cleaned, buffed, and brightened up by using some Windex and a clean cotton towel.

Polished - A bright, high polished titanium finish, similar in appearance to stainless steel. This finish is more prone to mark and scratch with regular use.

Satin - A smooth, lightly sanded titanium finish, that matches up with many satin finished blades on the market.

Stonewashed - A brighter, more silver color that shows the titanium grain. This is currently our most popular and overall durable finish, that matches many stonewashed blades.

Beadblasted - A light to medium gray finish with slight sparkle resulting form the blasting process. It is more susceptible to scratches and marks.

Sandwashed - A more durable medium grey color with a uniform matte finish.

Industrial - A ā€œnaturalā€ titanium finish, that may contain scratches, imperfections and marks. Imagine Boba Fett or a ā€œRat Rodā€  and you are on the right track. This finish is supposed to look rough (or ā€˜Industrial) and ā€˜beat upā€™,  and thus is a very specific look, and not for everyone.  If you like a ā€˜battleā€™ look, this finish may fit the bill.  If you like your gear perfect and polished, this is not the finish you should choose.  Each clip with this finish will vary in appearance.

Industrial Heat -  A ā€œnaturalā€ unfinished look like the Industrial finish, but with heat anodizing around the top of the clip.
